Jhamil, a tourist on Mallorca's most famous beach: "There are much better ones."

The island of Mallorca is home to beautiful beaches with crystal-clear turquoise waters, such as the famous Caló des Moro . This small cove with fine sand and clear waters is a pristine beach that, despite being difficult to reach, is a popular place to spend the day.

Located approximately 6 kilometers from the town of Santanyí, it is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in Mallorca. It is about 40 meters long with a sea that stretches between steep and imposing cliffs . This description was what led tourist Jhamil to wanting to visit this natural paradise and share their experience on social media, claiming it is a destination that is "overrated."

An "overrated" cove

At first glance, the charm of Caló des Moro is unique. A beautiful landscape of cliffs and calm waters in which small natural caves are carved. All surrounded by pine trees, shrubs, and low plants. However, Jhamil (@ jhamiil23) decided to share her experience visiting this beach on TikTok, which she didn't entirely enjoy.

"Not even in the Hunger Games have I seen so much enthusiasm for visiting this cove," were the words the young man used to refer to the number of people who visit this natural paradise. He asserted that it is an "overrated" destination and that there are other "much better" beaches.

Tips for visiting Caló des Moro

The first thing to keep in mind is that, although it's a beach with calm waters, it's not the most suitable for children. There's usually little space for playing on the sand, and you have to climb a steep slope to reach it.

Furthermore, it has no facilities, restaurants, sun loungers, or umbrellas. Water sports are also prohibited. Being such a sought-after destination, it can be a bit difficult to secure a spot on the sand during the summer.
